When I step in to a new scene I take in everything, the direction of the sun, the breeze or lack of, the bends of the trees, and if the background of my subject could sit alone as a landscape. Ultimately, it is my goal to take breath-taking and awe inspiring photographs. I want to relate to my subject and really get to know them and my environment. I have seen too often impersonal photography, photographers simply snapping away before knowing anything about a person, possibly not even their name.
